A BIT OF TOM JONES? In a late night bar, Henry is approached by a
mysterious woman who offers to sell him the severed "manhood" of Wales'
greatest vocal
entertainer... Believing he can make a fortune selling the infamous
appendage on to
obsessive fans, Henry stumps up the cash.
To help find the right buyer, Henry teams up with his slightly dodgy
best friend Teddy and together the two head off on an insane journey
that leads them deep into the secret world of celebrity body part
trading.
Along the way, they have a fight with a Gorilla, are bubbled bathed by
a randy pensioner, kidnapped by adult babies, break into a police
station, take a day trip to Belgium to meet the World's biggest dealer
of celebrity off-cuts and even get caught up in the slowest Police
chase in movie history... ...and all for a bit of Tom Jones?

The
Pocket Devils are
the creation of multi-talented musician/actor Jonathan
Owen.
The band has made a wealth of uncompromising, kick ass singles, many
of which we are happy to make available at The Pocket Devils' MySpace
page for the first time.
Currently starring in the viral internet smash SVENGALI,
Jonathan played "Richey" on the ITV-1 Wales drama NUTS +
BOLTS, has been featured in the BBC-1/BBC America smash MURPHY'S LAW
and starred in the Irvine
Welsh BBC play DOSE.
Jonathan also played the male lead "Josh" in Irvine Welsh and Dean
Cavanagh's WEDDING BELLES, which was aired on Channel 4 in Great
Britain. Jonathan
also played "Steve" in the critically acclaimed film LITTLE WHITE LIES,
which was short listed for the Moscow Film Festival.
Last, but certainly not least, Jonathan was also featured in the DOCTOR
WHO spinoff TORCHWOOD. He plays "Banana Boat".

Bobby Poe and The Poe Kats - Rockabilly Hall Of Famers from the
1950's - were a groundbreaking act that featured legendary piano
player Big
Al Downing and
renowned lead guitarist Vernon Sandusky. The late, great Big Al
Downing went on to become a #1 Country star, while Vernon Sandusky
was in Country Music Hall of Famer Roy
Clark's band for over 20
years.
Bobby Poe and The Poe Kats' debut single on White Rock Records -
"Rock & Roll Record Girl", backed with "Rock & Roll
Boogie"
- is highly prized by collectors. Listen to a wealth of music by

The Poe Kats were also Rockabilly Queen Wanda Jackson's
touring and/or
backing band and various members can sometimes be found on her
early singles, including the Rockabilly classic "Let's Have A
Party". "Let's Have A Party" was first recorded by Elvis Presley
for his film "Loving You" and was known simply as "Party". Wanda's
version was recorded around the same time (when she and Elvis were
dating) and featured The Poe Kats' Big Al Downing on piano, Vernon
Sandusky on lead guitar and Joe Brawley on drums. Also on the
session were Buck Owens on rhythm guitar (who was just starting his
career) and Skeets McDonald on bass. It took a couple of years -
until 1960 to be exact - for "Let's Have A Party" to become a Pop
hit and one of Wanda's signature songs.
"(Let's Have A) Party" was covered by Sir Paul McCartney on his
rollicking roots DVD "Live At The Cavern Club", which also features
Pink Floyd's David Gilmour on guitar and Deep Purple's Ian Paice on
drums. There is also a version of "Party" on Sir Paul's CD "Run
Devil Run".

You may also be interested in The Chartbusters, a group from the
mid-1960's that had a big hit with the single "She's The One"
(Mutual Records, catalog number 502). The Chartbusters were managed
by Bobby Poe, Sr. and featured lead guitarist Vernon Sandusky from
Bobby Poe and The Poe Kats. Bobby and Vernon also produced the
band, with Vernon writing or co-writing most of the group's
material.
"She's The One" was released in the Summer of 1964 and went on to
sell over 750,000 copies, peaking at #33 on Billboard's
singles chart. At the time, it was also a #1 record at several radio
stations around the
country. Joey
Reynolds of WKBW Radio
in Buffalo, New York can take credit for breaking the single
nationally.
For you trivia buffs out there, Tom Hanks
was quoted in People Magazine as saying The
Chartbusters were one of the inspirations for his film "That Thing
You Do!". In the 1980's "She's The One" was released by Rhino Records
on "Nuggets, Volume 4" as part of their highly respected series of
classic
singles from the mid-1960's (the original vinyl series released in
1984, not the later CD box set).
